Gramfall ("the app") is developed and maintained by Randy Cox. This policy describes how the app handles your information.
Gramfall does not directly collect or store personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number. The app does not require account creation or login.
However, certain data is collected automatically through third-party services integrated into the app — specifically Google AdMob for advertising and Apple CloudKit for sync. This may include device identifiers, IP address, general location information, and usage data. Please see the Advertising and iCloud & CloudKit Sync sections below for full details.
Game progress, high scores, and streak data are stored locally on your device. High scores may be submitted to Apple Game Center if you choose to participate — this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Gramfall uses Apple CloudKit to sync your gameplay data and statistics — including scores, streaks, and progress — across your Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account. This data is stored in your private iCloud database and is not accessible to us. CloudKit sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy. You can manage or disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings under your Apple ID.
The Word of the Day feature uses a pre-scheduled word list stored within the app. No network requests are made to retrieve this data.
If you enable notifications, Gramfall may send you reminders about the daily Word of the Day challenge. Notification permissions are managed through your device settings and no notification data is collected or transmitted.
Gramfall uses Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect and use certain information from your device to provide personalized advertisements.
Information Collected for Advertising
AdMob and its partners may collect and process the following information:
— Device identifiers such as your Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS)
— IP address and general location information
— Device information including device type, operating system, and app version
— Usage data such as how you interact with ads and the app
— Inferred interests used to serve relevant advertisements
How This Information Is Used
This information is used to display relevant advertisements within the app, measure ad performance and effectiveness, improve the relevance of ads shown to you, and prevent fraudulent activity.
Your Choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:
— Consent form: EU, UK, and Swiss users are shown a consent form on first launch. You can review and change your choices at any time in the app under Settings → Manage Ad Preferences.
— iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
— You can also visit Google's Ad Settings to manage your preferences
— Remove Ads entirely: Gramfall offers an annual Ad-Free subscription that removes all advertisements. If you subscribe, AdMob will no longer be active during your sessions and no advertising data will be collected.
For more information on how Google collects and processes data, please visit Google's Privacy Policy.
Gramfall uses the following Apple services. All are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Apple Game Center — used for leaderboard and high score functionality.
Apple CloudKit — used to sync gameplay data and statistics across your Apple devices via iCloud.
Apple TestFlight — used to distribute the public beta of the app.
Google AdMob — used to display advertisements within the app. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Gramfall uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent form on first launch asking whether you agree to personalised advertising. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time via Settings → Manage Ad Preferences within the app.
Users in applicable US states are provided an opt-out mechanism in accordance with applicable state law. See the US State Privacy Rights section below.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent local law:
— Right of access — You may request a copy of the personal data held about you.
— Right to rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate data.
— Right to erasure — You may request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary.
— Right to object — You may object to processing of your data for direct marketing or personalised advertising.
— Right to withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time via Settings → Manage Ad Preferences. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
— Right to lodge a complaint — You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
The legal basis for processing advertising data is your consent, collected via the in-app consent form. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
If you are a resident of California or another US state with applicable privacy legislation (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas), you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes.
Gramfall does not sell your personal data. However, Google AdMob's use of device identifiers for personalised advertising may constitute "sharing" under certain state laws. You can opt out at any time:
— In-app: Settings → Manage Ad Preferences (shown for applicable US states)
— iOS device settings: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
— Google: Google's Ad Settings
To exercise any other privacy rights under applicable state law, contact us at [email protected].
Gramfall does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
